Some Of The News Covered:The Howard Group's Grand Boulevard opened in March earlier this year. Its a $250 million project that sits on 52 acres. The Grand Boulevard is expected to have at least 100 businesses when all three phases are finished in 2010. Cantina Laredo is one of the great restaurants there with some amazing (and potent) margaritas! The Emerald Coast Poker Run had a very large turn out... Cigarette boats where everywhere. The Destin Bridge and Okaloosa Island Pier were great viewing spots! There was one accident during the Poker Run but otherwise a great time had by all. If you missed it this time, stay tuned. We kept our listeners in-the-know prior to this event and you should be here to check it out next year. The Emerald Coast is full of nice areas to have a great glass of wine. The Courtyard in Rosemary Beach is one of them! Rosemary is a very beautiful area on the far east end of 30-A. Listen as I give you a complete, first-hand report on all the places you should think about enjoying the next time you are in our area. The parking lot for Pompano Joe's is expected to be rebuilt by late spring of 2008! The construction starts in November. This will be the third time the parking lot is being rebuilt but it is getting built to now withstand future storms. Some Of The News Covered:The Destin Harbor fireworks display that was scheduled for every Thursday evening has been suspended. Ash from the fireworks was falling on to boats in the harbor (plus locals complaining about the noise from an 8:30 PM fireworks display... co'mon). The heavily damaged Navarre Beach Pier may become a marine sanctuary. The Gulf Breeze Zoo needs to raise $3 million to keep from closing. The zoo lost its accreditation with the American Association of Zoos and Aquariums a year ago. The Gulf Breeze Zoo has always been a very educational and fun experience for all ages! The new pedestrian friendly beach community called Towne of Seahaven announced its first eight tenants for phase one of the development. The Summerhouse Restaurant that was once open in Fort Walton Beach at the intersection of Beal Parkway and 98 needs a home. John Wagner and Sam Montalto were the owners of the restaurant and sold it to Alan Laird (owner of AJ's). The structure was moved to the west end of Okaloosa County where it has been sitting. Residents in the area want the structure moved!
